Root Canal Therapy

When a tooth is affected by deep decay or infection and you’re at risk of losing it, getting a root canal can preserve your smile. Our team uses the advanced WaveOne® Gold system to perform this treatment in a safe and efficient way.

What is Root Canal Therapy?

A root canal is a dental procedure to save a tooth that has been damaged by cavities, infection, or trauma.

First, we make sure to inject anesthesia and use sedation if needed. Then, using the WaveOne® Gold system, we remove the infected or damaged tissue. We use its special irrigation needle to clean deep inside the tooth, getting rid of any remaining bacteria.

Once the tooth is clean and disinfected, we seal it off to stop any more bacteria from getting in and causing other oral issues.

When Do You Need a Root Canal?

  • Severe tooth pain
  • Sensitivity to hot or cold
  • Swelling around the affected tooth
  • Pimple-like bump on the gums
  • Deep decay or infection in the tooth pulp
  • Trauma or injury to the tooth

Is a Root Canal Painful?

Root canal procedures are much more comfortable today thanks to modern techniques and anesthesia. Before starting, our team will numb the area with local anesthetic to ensure you won't feel any pain during the treatment.

Most patients report minimal discomfort during the procedure itself, often feeling only pressure or vibrations.

If you experience any mild pain afterward, over-the-counter medications can help manage it.
