Oral Surgery

Oral surgery refers to the procedures that address problems like impacted wisdom teeth, jaw abnormalities, and gaps in your smile. Our team uses the most advanced technology to plan and perform any surgical treatment and take care of all your oral health needs.

Which Oral Surgeries Do We Perform?

When wisdom teeth don't have enough room to grow properly, they can cause pain and other dental problems.

Dr. Muwafaq numbs the area with local anesthesia and, if you suffer from anxiety, he may also suggest IV sedation. Using specialized tools, he removes the impacted wisdom teeth and closes the gum tissue with stitches.

Dental Implant Placement

Made of a titanium root and a porcelain crown, dental implants are a long-term solution for replacing missing teeth. First, Dr. Muwafaq numbs the area and performs oral surgery to place the implant into the gums. There are also many sedation options to make your appointment as comfortable as possible.

Once the implant fuses with the gum tissue, he creates a crown based on detailed impressions of your teeth and fixes it in place to complete your new tooth.

If you’re missing all or most of your teeth in either arch, Dr. Muwafaq will conduct a similar surgery to place All-On-X implants. After he positions four implants, he creates and attaches a set of custom dentures over them to restore your smile

What Technology Do We Use During Oral Surgery?

  • CEREC® technology and a Planmeca® mill to design and create custom crowns. Since all the equipment we need is available in our office, we can finish your restorations in a single day.
  • Vatech A9™ to capture panoramic and 3D images of your oral tissue and achieve accurate treatment planning.
  • Guided surgery using 3D printed guides to be more precise and minimize risks.
